Habilidades e idiomas requeridos: •Strong understanding of various coating applications and engineering processes •Capable to develop projects from concept through plant floor implementation per structural components requirements to meet automotive specifications. •Strong understanding of testing and validation concepts for structural products. •Lead next generation corrosion resistance coatings program to enhance corrosion resistance of structural components. •Guide material innovation group to utilize advanced coatings and nanotechnology pre-treatment coatings for more complex and challenging multi-material underbody structural components. •Evaluate and test various metallurgical properties of structural components and sub-assemblies. •Failure analysis techniques & evaluation
Experiencia necesaria: 6 to 10 years of Material and Product Development in Automotive Industry – Frame, Chassis and Structural Components, and Aerospace. Projects development R&D Area in the Automotive Industry (OEM and/or T1 Supplier). Advanced knowledge and experience in vehicle structural components, vehicle performance, and sub-system requirements for material selection and overall surface treatment and anti-corrosion coating solutions. Experience working globally with multiple OEM’s and chemical suppliers. Materials related research (Steel, Aluminum, Magnesium, polymers and composites, etc). Created capability to coat multi-material substrates such as advanced high strength steels, aluminum, galvanized steels, galvanealed steels, aluminized steels and carbon fiber composites.
